Canadians Eric Radford and skating partner Meagan Duhamel qualified on Saturday to join the Canada team at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
This is Radford’s second Olympics, but his first as an openly gay man.
Radford came out in 2014 in an exclusive interview with Outsports. He went on to win the World Championships with Duhamel in 2015.
Radford and Duhamel finished seventh in their competition at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. On winning the Canadian Championship in Vancouver on Saturday, Radford said the pair are more confident going into the 2018 Games.

The 32-year-old was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and lives in Montreal, Quebec. He is engaged to marry his partner, Luis Fenero, who he proposed to last summer. The moment was captured on his Instagram.
