Final line-up confirmed for LadyRock Festival

LadyRock Festival has confirmed its final line-up, with acts including pop star KT Tunstall, actress and musician Heather Peace, and Big Brother UK winner DJ Kate Lawler.

The first all women’s festival in Manchester will take place on 26 May, aiming to bring ‘girl power’ to the 21st century.

Founder and Director Jackie Crozier said: ‘We have found the perfect, slick balance of everything we want to represent: strong, sexy female performers, with no gimmicks.

‘I am delighted that our line-up is made up of acclaimed, commercially successful females alongside some extremely cool and upcoming artists.'

Jess Mills, a hot tip for 2012, will also be performing in the northwest of the UK with her song Pixelated People – a hit on the underground music scene.

Mills recently performed with critic’s choice Emeli Sandé, singer-songwriter Katy B and superstar Annie Lennox at a benefit celebrating International Women’s Day.

Soul singer Josephine is a name hot on the lips of alternative music stations XFM and BBC Radio 6, with presenter Lauren Laverne saying she ‘loves her most of all’.

Other performers will be groups Horse, New Young Pony Club, Second Hand Wings, The Arcadian Group, AMiTY, singers Sophie Bellamy and Sarah Archer, as well as acclaimed comic Rosie Wilby.

LadyRock Festival will take place across a number of stages and areas with designated spots for acoustic sessions, comedy and alternative entertainment.

Manchester night club Vanilla will host the opening and closing parties, with special Rocker Buses primed to drive revellers from the festival to the city centre.

Tickets have now gone on sale for LadyRock Festival 2012. You can also check out their website for more information.
