English singer-songwriter Foxes has said she cannot wait to share the stage with gay icons like Kylie Minogue and Grace Jones.
The Clarity singer will be taking to the stage at the British Summertime Festival in Hyde Park on Sunday (21 June).
‘I think to be doing Hyde Park, with all the females like Kylie and Grace Jones who are massive gay icons, it’s really, really exciting,’ she said to Gay Star News at the festival launch.
The 26-year-old may have shot to fame since her debut single Youth in 2012, but she said the gay community is still ‘really important’ to her.
‘It’s so nice to be playing Sunday with real icons that the gay community love, and you know what, it is such a big part of my fan base and there are a lot of fans right from the beginning who have really stuck there,’ Foxes added.
‘I’m playing Brighton Pride soon and it’s always one of my favorite gigs to play, so it means a lot to me.’
Asked if she has a big lesbian fanbase, the Grammy winner said: ‘I think at the beginning I did actually.
‘It was really nice because there’s such a loyal fan base in the gay community – it’s really nice to have that. I did at the beginning, I don’t know if I do as much now!’
Foxes’ new single, Body Talk, is out now, and the video will be released next week.
