Openly gay R&B singer Frank Ocean is reportedly pressing charges against Chris Brown following their fight.
Brown is accused of punching the ‘Thinking Bout You’ singer at the Westlake Studio in Los Angeles on Sunday (27 January), after an argument allegedly about a parking space.
Ocean stayed to give police a statement and is now being treated as a victim, while Brown had left the scene by the time officers had arrived.
Speaking to the New York Post, the LA Sheriff’s office spokesman Steve Whitmore said the gay singer is ‘desirous of prosecution’ and officers intend to ‘find out what happened’.
After the incident, Ocean tweeted: ‘got jumped by chris and a couple guys… cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.’
Brown is on probation until August 2014 following his 2009 assault of pop star and current girlfriend Rihanna.
The most recent accusations of violence have allegedly had Grammy producers rethink allowing a duet between the couple at the awards on 10 February.
In July last year, it was alleged Brown had said ‘no homo’ when asked about the then-newly out singer.
Ocean’s first major label solo album, Channel Orange, stormed to critical and commercial success, reaching the top of the US Billboard R&B chart last year.
