Ross Lynch as Jeffrey Dahmer

‘My Friend Dahmer,’ the upcoming movie about gay serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, just released the first full-length trailer.

Dahmer, nicknamed the ‘Milwaukee Cannibal,’ assaulted, raped, and murdered 17 young men between 1978 and 1991. In 1992, he was sent to prison with multiple life sentences. In 1994, he was killed in prison by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver.

First teased back in July, the film is based on the 2012 graphic novel by Derf Backderf, a high school friend of the infamous killer.

The trailer

In the trailer, we see a young Jeffrey Dahmer, played by Ross Lynch, as he’s bullied at school, faces family troubles, and struggles making friends.

We also see the young Dahmer drinking alone in the woods and playing with animal bones.

Lynch captures Dahmer’s look to a tee, even wearing his signature glasses.

In one disturbing scene of the trailer, we see Dahmer luring a crying dog towards him in the woods. In another, two young boys ask Dahmer what he’s carrying in his black garbage bag and they cringe in disgust upon seeing.

Watch the chilling trailer below.

My Friend Dahmer comes out on 3 November.
