Can the gaming business lure gay consumers?

The truth is that gaming and the gay market have never been deeply associated to one another, and we don’t know if this is on purpose or something that just happened. Gamers are in a whole universe of their own and they are usually very jealous of their niche, but the industry is about making money and they will cater to whoever pays, and the gay markets are attractive because they have really high incomes that are spent on leisure and pleasure, and well, gaming is all about that, isn’t it?

Some sectors of the gaming industry have understood that they have been missing out on some serious cash by neglecting this specific market, but some others benefit without really trying that hard. Las Vegas is a great example of this, for decades the Sin City has been attracting the LGTB community to Nevada and not all of them want to party hard, lots of them are looking for a more relaxed environment and like to stay in big hotels with luxurious casinos.

Other American cities rival with Las Vegas for gay tourism, but Las Vegas has a special vibe that no other metropolis can offer, they even have exclusive hotels like the Blue Moon Resort, and that type of details are a huge plus and make a difference. Like we said in the beginning of the article, some members of the LGTB community may be tempted to stay in a prestigious hotel like the Luxor Hotel and Casino, but not everybody can afford to jump on a flight to enjoy a gaming vacation.

The gaming industry has to take this into consideration and the answer is not so complicated to begin with. Several online casinos have made bold attempts to attract gay gamblers and many have succeeded, the sweet truth is that online casinos have hundreds of different games available online for everyone. All the luxury that has made Las Vegas such a popular destination can be found on a laptop anywhere in the world, and we cannot ignore this fact.

We can say for sure that there is no real substitute for a real vacation in a gambling paradise like Las Vegas, Atlantic City or even Monaco if you want to get international, but the gaming industry is not only about the land-based casinos, the other sectors have to step up their game if they want in on the riches.
