Gay Strictly judge: ‘I was first attracted to my partner because of his performing monkey’

Gay Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has opened up about his relationship, saying he was first attracted to his partner for a slightly odd reason.

No, it wasn’t because he could rumba all night, it was because of his performing monkey.

‘There’s three of us in this relationship,’ the BBC1 reality show judge told OK magazine.

‘There is Damon [Scott], Bubbles [Damon’s performing monkey] and me. What I first saw what he did, that attracted me as he is an artist.

Revel Horwood also spoke about how he identifies himself now, after being in a marriage to a woman for two years.

‘I was bisexual for a long time,’ he said.

‘I flitted between men and women quite a lot between the ages of 17 and 26. My wife Jane left me for another man. Then I fell in love with a bloke. I have been gay ever since.’

The Strictly Come Dancing final airs on 20 December on BBC1.
