George Michael has postponed concerts in Vienna, Strasbourg and Cardiff after being taken to hospital with pneumonia.
The 48-year-old gay singer had been due to go on stage in Vienna on Monday (21 November) but pulled out two hours before the gig was due to start and is apparently being treated at the AKH hospital in the Austrian capital.
Further appearances on his European tour, which started in Prague in August, will be rescheduled.
A viral infection in October forced him to pull out of a concert at London’s famous Royal Albert Hall, which has been rescheduled for 2 May. However he did manage to do a gig in November at the Royal Opera House, also in London, to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Now a solo artist, Michael made his name as a star of 80s pop group Wham and is famous for the song Careless Whisper.
