Details are being finalized for the first LGBT Week – a new series of conferences, symposia, workshops and events aimed at the LGBT business community and those looking to explore the LGBT market.
LGBT Week NYC will take place from 20-24 April 2015, and will be followed by future conferences in Orlando (4 June) and Seattle (18 September).
The NYC event builds upon the success of the annual LGBT Marketing Week – which will be incorporated into this new event – and will look specifically at business, marketing and technology.
Specific events will include an LGBT Entrepreneur Forum (20 April) at Microsoft in Times Square, including one-on-one mentoring with experienced start-up executives.
This is followed on the 21st April by an LGBT Tourism & Hospitality Symposium at Google’s New York headquarters, and an LBT Women’s Forum and LGBT Family Forum at the Marriott Marquis on the 22nd.
There will be a LGBT Marketing and Advertising Forum on 23 April and an LGBT Business and Technology Conference on the 24th – both at the New York Times Conference Center. All forums will be followed by evening networking events. Registration for individual forums starts at $95.
Thomas Roth, of co-organizers, Community Marketing Inc. told Gay Star Business, ‘LGBT Week is the culmination of over 20 years of LGBT market research, 20 years of producing LGBT educational programs, and drawing together some of the best minds across many industries and topics to share their experience and advice.
‘We are building LGBT Week to be among the most comprehensive, and most productive events of its kind. Along with intriguing and insightful presentations, LGBT Week features networking sessions and events that will help attendees build the relationships so necessary for progress and success in the LGBT business space.’
