Two of UK’s most loved late-night TV talk show hosts will appear as judges on the British version of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Alan Carr and Graham Norton will appear alongside Michelle Visage, Carson Kressly and Ross Matthews to judge the debut season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. RuPaul will remain as host of the drag queen reality show.
Drag Race UK will air on BBC 3 sometime in 2019. It will mirror the US version of the show which features 10 drag queens competing in mini and maxi challenges, and a weekly runway challenge. The overall winner in the US is crowned as ‘America’s Next Drag Superstar’.
Norton hosts the weekly Graham Norton Show on BBC One and even judged an episode of the US Drag Race. He said he has long loved the reality show.
‘Hi Graham Norton here, serving chat show host realness,’ he said in a video on Twitter.
‘And I’m so excited to be part of Drag Race UK. Who knows maybe this is what the UK is good at?’

Alan Carr is another beloved TV talk show presenter and hosted Alan Carr: Chatty Man from 2009 to 2016, which earned him a BAFTA Award for best Entertainment Performance in 2013.
‘Hello everyone, I’ve got the most amazing announcement to make,’ Carr said in another video on Twitter.
‘I’ve been holding it in for so long.’
Carr went on to say how excited he was about judging the Emmy award winning show.
‘I can’t wait to see what all the queens serve are gonna serve up,’ he said.
‘But I know one thing, it’s gonna be sickening.’
Carr then attempts to ‘death drop’ on the leafy ground as the video fades out.
AND wait for the death drop…@AlanCarr will also be on the judging panel for @RuPaul‘s Drag Race UK.

RuPaul welcomed Norton and Carr to the judges’ panel.
‘I was both shocked and delighted when Graham and Alan told me they’d be wearing tucking panties when sitting at the judges’ table. I told them it was not necessary, but they insisted. Now that’s what I call dedication!’ he said.
