Gus Kenworthy posts thirsty response to gay candidate winning Alabama seat

Gus Kenworthy and Neil Rafferty

Gus Kenworthy couldn’t contain his thirst over Neil Rafferty winning an Alabama House seat in the US midterm elections.

Rafferty is a gay marine veteran who won a House seat in the state’s 54th district, with a staggering 90% of the vote.

But when Gus Kenworthy found out, he had some thirsty words for the handsome gay politician.

Kenworthy responded to a news headline of Rafferty’s win that read: ‘Gay Former Marine Neil Rafferty Wins Patricia Todd’s Seat in Alabama.’

He then quote-tweeted it and wrote: ‘I have another seat for him.’

The Winter Olympic freestyle skier also used the blonde bearded man emoji. It’s a clear reference to Kenworthy wanting Rafferty to take a seat on his face.

In response to the thirsty tweet, many responded with reaction gifs of people bursting out in laughter.

One replied: ‘GUS YOU DID NOT!’

Neil Rafferty wins big

Rafferty announced his run for election back in February.

He said at the time: ‘Nine days ago, I was approached by a dear friend who asked if I would consider running to fill the vacant seat for Alabama State House District 54.

‘In the past week, I’ve spent many hours in conversation with family and friends.

‘But more importantly, I’ve asked myself how can I best serve my community. On Friday, I traveled to Montgomery to complete qualifying paperwork to run.

‘I look forward to expanding my lifetime of service as I announce my candidacy for State House of Representatives District 54,’ he said.
