Jeremy Clarkson joked he’d undergone a ‘transgender operation’ after dipping into a cold river in Mongolia to rescue his car.
The Grand Tour hosts trekked across the country in East Asia as part of an episode which dropped today (5 April).
Furthermore, Clarkson is no stranger to LGBTI-phobic phrases, especially on episodes of the Amazon Prime show.
Clarkson, alongside James May and Richard Hammond found themselves in a dilemma.
However, in their makeshift car, the trio find their journey grinding to a halt in a body of water. Their car trapped behind a rock.
But worried the vehicle would be no more, Clarkson emerged out of the submerged car, dipping into the icy water.
He cries: ‘Holy s***! I’ve just had a transgender operation!’
While the fellow presenters do not react, May soon joins him in the water as co-host Hammond stays firmly inside the entrenched car.
Not a one-off
But it isn’t just in Mongolia that the presenter has made controversial jokes.
In an episode made available to stream earlier this year, Clarkson joked his co-host Hammond’s car was ‘gay’ when in Columbia.
Moreover, he also made fun of the LGBTI acronym, saying: ‘What is it? Lesbian, bacon, transgender…?’
