Jim Parsons becomes world’s highest paid TV actor

Jim Parsons has become the world’s highest paid actor on television, earning $29 million per season.

The gay Big Bang Theory actor is on top of Forbes’ annual listing, clutching the highest spot away from Two And A Half Men’s Ashton Kutcher.

Last year, the cast of the CBS nerd sitcom held out for increased earnings. This means that all of the cast now earn from $800,000 to $1 million per episode, as well as around 1% of the show’s back profits.

He is joined on the list by Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who earns $11 million.

Forbes is releasing a list of highest-paid TV actresses at a later date.
