Kaiser Karl missed his usual catwalk bow in January
The controversial designer passed away on 19 February at the American Hospital in Paris. He was 85 years old.
Lagerfeld missed a Chanel catwalk bow in January at Paris Fashion Week for the first time. His absence raised some concerns about his health.
In an interview in 2018, he said he wanted to buried alongside his mother at a property he owned until 2000.
Both Lagerfeld’s mother and Jacques de Bascher, who was believed to be the stylist’s former long-term boyfriend, are buried in a chapel which is in the grounds of a home that Lagerfeld owned.
However, the stylist reportedly stopped going there after their deaths. He then apparently sold the home in 2000.
