Pop star Katy Perry and her actor fiance Orlando Bloom are co-hosting an event for potential Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigeig, it has been reported.

The I Kissed a Girl singer and Pirates of the Caribbean star are also said to be hosting an upcoming fundraiser for the openly gay Mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

An invitation to the fundraiser was viewed by New York Magazine and Huffington Post contributor Yashar Ali, according to the Daily Mail.

‘They’re co-hosting an event for Mayor Pete in LA’

The writer tweeted: ‘Looks like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are supporting Pete Buttigieg.

‘They’re co-hosting an event for Mayor Pete in LA next month at the home of @mkives and @lydiakives per an invite that I just reviewed.’

According to reports, the event will take place on 18 June 18 at a private residence.

The news coincides with Mayor Pete’s appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

In a video teaser of the appearance, Buttigieg is seen saying: ‘Up until this season I was pretty much Team Daenerys.’

‘I felt like she was really growing in her leadership style,’ he furthermore added.

‘I’m a little concerned now, based on what I’ve seen in the last few episodes. Her management approach has got some issues! I’m kind of back to square one.’

‘So, you go both ways?’

He is also seen ‘slow jamming’ the news with Fallon in another teaser. In it, Buttigieg said he hopes to connect with both Democrats and Republicans. To this, Fallon says: ‘So, you go both ways?’ Fallon asked.

‘No, I’m just gay.’ Buttigieg responded, to cheers from the audience.
