Katya and Trixie Mattel are bringing back web series UNHhhh

Two of the biggest stars to emerge from the RuPaul’s Drag Race, Katya and Trixie Mattel, are reviving their beloved series UNHhhh.

The duo announced the popular series return during their live panel at this weekend’s Drag Con in New York City.

‘This is a surprise thing that you guys are seeing for the first time, and we hope it gets you very excited,’ Trixie said during the panel.

Then they showed the crowd a trailer from the new series which premiers on the WOW Presents Plus streaming service on 17 October. They will eventually air on YouTube as well.

It’s been seven months since Trixie and Katya will be seen on screen together. Katya announced a hiatus from drag earlier this year to focus on her mental health and to go to rehab.

UNHhhh first appeared on the WOW Presents YouTube channel before Viceland picked up the series. The Trixie and Katya Show aired for one season on Viceland with season eight winner Bob the Drag Queen covering for Katya during her hiatus.

The new UNHhhh

Trixie and Katya admitted some of the topics they’ll cover will include dentistry and suicide. But Trixie admitted that they hadn’t done much planning yet.

‘Katya’s probably going to give a presentation on timeshares… I’d be lying if I said we’d planned anything,’ Mattel said.

‘It’s essentially a live version of The Trixie & Katya Show. What’s different is we incorporate current events or we get to answer fan questions.

‘Most of the time we just do fan questions like a panel where people ask us about our characters or the genesis of the show or what topics we’d like to do but never got to do.

‘And this year Katya and I had some semi-public ups and downs. I’ve had most of the ups; she’s had most of the downs. The best thing we can get out of it is to come up with something in the moment.’
