Lady Gaga may be playing Ursula in the live action remake of The Little Mermaid.
According to DisInsider, the Joanne singer is ‘high on Disney’s wish list’ for a role in the upcoming film.
While heavily stressing it’s only an unconfirmed rumor, they added: ‘Most likely the role of Ursula’.
The online Disney forum also predicted singer Zendaya as Ariel.
Lady Gaga is currently enjoying Box Office success from her recent release A Star Is Born, directed by Bradley Cooper.

When the news broke on Tuesday (9 October), many took to social media to share their excitement over the possible casting.
Perez Hilton responded to the news: ‘I would LOVE to see Lady GaGa as Ursula in Disney’s live-action Little Mermaid!!’
Should a drag queen play Ursula?
But some weren’t so happy.
One Twitter user commented: ‘Seriously @ladygaga if it’s true, please don’t do it, don’t wear a fat suit. Let a fat person be Ursula on screen. We fat folks need real representation.’
Social media users then began suggesting alternatives for the role, with many saying a drag queen should play the Sea Witch villain.
The role was, of course, originally inspired by drag queen Divine.
Among the other recommendations was clear frontrunner Drag Race queen Ginger Minj. But people also suggested Latrice Royale and Eureka O’Hara.
In fact, O’Hara recently dressed up as Ursula.

Disney declined to comment on the casting, saying no one is confirmed at this stage.
Mary Poppins Returns director Rob Marshall will direct the film, with music by Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
There is currently no release date for the movie, but filming will take place in Puerto Rico and Cape Town, South Africa.
