LGBTI flash mob in New Dehli wanted to send a message
New Delhi LGBTI flash mob working to smash stereotypes.

A massive LBGTI flash mob in New Dehli achieved its objective of raising awareness of the community in India.

Dance for Pride was a statement for the need to break all stereotypes of LGBTI people.

It was organized by dating app Scruff and Those In Need, a not-for-profit organization whose mission to work for the welfare of minorities.

Participants broke into the streets of Delhi on Saturday and brought together LGBTI volunteers to dance in a flash mob to the indigenous euphoric beats of ‘Dhol.’

The flash mob was open to all who wanted to join and even made news across several news outlets in the country.

Some of the messages people carried in the flash mob included; ‘I am gay. I love sports’,  ‘I am Lesbian. I don’t hate men’, and ‘I am homosexual. And it’s not a choice’.

Funny messages included; ‘I am Queer. Yoga can’t cure me’ and ‘I am homosexual. Me getting intimate doesn’t cause earthquakes’.

A large banner was unfurled as the event wrapped up saying: ‘We are here. We are Queer. We are not a stereotype’.
