Lion, tiger and bear BFFs in Georgia animal sanctuary teach world about tolerance and acceptance

The touching friendship between a lion, tiger and bear at a Georgia animal sanctuary has captured the world’s attention.

Baloo the bear, Leo the lion and Shere Khan the tiger have been inseparable ever since they were rescued as cubs from the basement of an Atlanta drug lord in 2001, and are currently trending online.

The animals can often be seen playing and nuzzling each other tenderly at their home in the Noah’s Ark Animal Rescue Centre.

Diane Smith, the assistant director of Noah’s Ark, has commented: ‘We could have separated them, but since they came as a kind of family, the zoo decided to keep them together.’

She added: ‘To our knowledge, this is the only place where you’ll find this combination of animals together.’
