Made in Chelsea’s Ollie Locke: ‘I am a gay man’

Ollie Locke launches own gay dating app

British reality TV star Ollie Locke has given an interview in which he says that he is gay. Previously, the Made in Chelsea star – who published a memoir, Laid in Chelsea, in 2013 – had described himself as bisexual.

In The Sun, Locke – who has recently broken up from fellow reality celebrity Catherine Louise Radford – said of the forthcoming series of Made in Chelsea: ‘It’s the first time the viewers have seen me as gay instead of bi. I do say the words “I am a gay man”.

‘For me, this is a big series because I’m talking very openly about gay life, which I have never really done before.

‘I lived with a woman last year when I was off camera and we had two dogs together. Then when we broke up in December, I thought, “That’s it now, I think I’m now gay”.’

‘I want to experience my first gay relationship whether that’s on or off camera. I don’t mind. But I want to have one. I’m ready.’

Locke appeared on series 1-5 of E4’s Made in Chelsea (2011-13), before re-joining as a regular participant for its LA-set series (2015). The new series will be set in the South of France, with the cast visiting Cannes earlier in the summer for filming. It’s due to begin airing in the UK on 1 August.
