Madonna has compared herself to Picasso.
Speaking to Billboard, the singing superstar has said she likes to compare herself to other artists who have continued creating for a long time.
‘I like to compare myself to other kinds of artists like Picasso. He kept painting and painting until the day he died. Why? Because I guess he felt inspired to do so,’ she said.
‘Life inspired him, so he had to keep expressing himself, and that’s how I feel.’
She added that she doesn’t think there’s a ‘time, a date, an expiration date for being creative’.
‘I think you go until you don’t have any more to say,’ she added.
Madonna also teased her forthcoming Rebel Heart tour, saying while she wants to sing her new stuff it’s tough to have to pick from her history of songs that she wants to include.
‘The theme I really truly explore in this show more than anything is love and romance. I want people to walk out like they’re feeling inspired and like they’ve seen something they’ve never seen before and felt something they’ve never felt before.’
