First male victim accuses convicted gymnastics doctor of sexual abuse

Male gymnast Moore

A Team USA gymnast has joined hundreds of women in accusing former US gymnastics doctor Larry Moore of sexual abuse.

Jacob Moore, 18 and a graduate of University of Michigan, claims Nassar performed acupuncture on his pubic area.

The gymnast is the first male victim to speak against Nassar. He had visited Nassar about a shoulder ailment.

Nassar allegedly asked a girl who was present if she had ‘ever seen a male body part’.

Appearing on the NBC’s Today show, Moore, who was 16 at the time of the alleged abuse, said: ‘I was a dumb kid.

‘I knew what medical practices were, and that one was out of the ordinary… I felt very uncomfortable.’

Moore’s sister Kameron testified against Nassar at his hearing in January.

‘Me and my sister shouldn’t be able to relate over the fact thteat we’ve both been abused,’ he said.
‘I hope he rots in hell.’

‘[I] don’t want (other victims) to be scared to come out because of stigma that guys can’t be sexually abused or taken advantage of.’

Moore has now filed for legal action against the former physician, who was sentenced to 175 years in prison.

At the time, Michigan Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told the disgraced doctor ‘I just signed your death warrant,’ after sentencing.
