Man charged with purposely infecting others with HIV

Law enforcement officials have arrested a man, claiming he deliberately infects people with HIV.

According to the BBC, Daryll Rowe was arrested earlier this year on similar charges. After the 26-year-old did not answer to a November bail hearing, he was re-arrested in Wallsend, North Tyneside, due to the work of Northumbria Police, Police Scotland, and Sussex Police.

The suspect is charged with eight counts of causing grievous bodily harm and one of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

Rowe, who has no fixed address, is in custody and will appear before the Newcastle Crown Court later this week.

According to The Telegraph, authorities request people to contact them if they had sex with the suspect.

‘Anyone who thinks they may have had a  sexual encounter with this man is urged to come forward and anyone with  concerns is encouraged to contact their local sexual health services,’ Northumbria Police said in a statement.
