Margaret Cho calls Donald Trump a ‘known racist’ and blasts SNL for inviting him to host

NBC quickly distanced itself from Donald Trump earlier this year after inflammatory comments he made about illegal immigrants from Mexico when he announced US presidency bid.

Trump was dumped as host of Celebrity Apprentice and the network also dropped the Trump-owned Miss Universe pageant.

Now NBC has tapped Trump to be host of Saturday Night Live next month.

Margaret Cho is calling foul.

‘Why has there never been an Asian-American host, cast member or musical guest on ‘SNL’ in 41 years? Forty-one years,’ Cho asked The Wrap. ‘Yet they want Donald Trump, a known racist, a known sexist, who disgustingly wants to have sex with his daughter. Who does he think he is, Woody Allen?’

As far as picking an Asian-American host, Cho has some suggestions.

‘I’m proposing Ken Jeong. I would like to be the musical guest. That’s all I ask,’ Cho said. ‘They would take a momentous step forward, if they include Ken Jeong or myself. If not us, George Takei, who is hilarious and ultimately needs to be given that honor.’
