Mark Hamill has said his character Luke Skywalker could be bisexual – if you want him to be.
The Star Wars actor was asked on Twitter whether the jedi was bisexual.
Hamill – who recently reprised the iconic role in The Force Awakens – responded with this thoughtful direct message:
‘His sexuality is never directly addressed in the films,’ he wrote.
‘Luke is whatever the audience want him to be, so you can decide for yourself.’

The Nerdist website, which first reported the news, said that Luke Skywalker was a stronger candidate than other sci-fi to swing both ways.
‘Luke Skywalker… has shown almost zero sexual interest in anyone in any of the films… with the exception of a woman who turned out to be his sister. And even then, that interest seemed considerably mild,’ it noted.
Earlier this month, Star Wars actor John Boyega dashed the hopes of a canon Star Wars gay romance.
He said the fan-speculated relationship between Poe Dameron and Finn in The Force Awakens only existed in the imagination of his co-star Oscar Isaac.
