Spice Girl Melanie C will headline this year’s Manchester Pride: The Big Weekend. She is just one of a number of star names on the amazing line up.
The Anymore singer will be joined on The Thomas Cook Airlines USA Stage by openly gay 2016 X Factor runner up Saara Aalto. Meanwhile, 2015 X Factor winner Louisa Johnson will also appear.
What’s more, TV star Gok Wan will turn DJ for the August Bank Holiday extravaganza.
Hercules and the Love Affair’s Shaun J Wright will also be taking to the decks at the Gaydio Dance Arena.
Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride furthermore commented: ‘I’m thrilled to announce such a high level of international performers who will appear at The Big Weekend this year. To have a Spice Girl on our stage is quite a coup. There’s loads more to come that will reflect the diverse musical taste of our audience.’
The Asia’s Got Talent judge hit the headlines recently when she confirmed that she will not be part of the troubled Spice Girls reunion. It was recently reported that new mum Geri Halliwell will not be taking part in the project, alongside Victoria Beckham.
