Modern Family couple advocate for ‘straight-gay marriage’ in video spoof

Much has been made this week of how the Modern Family couple of Cam and Mitch, who got married this week on the ABC comedy, are role models that are helping people be more accepting of real-life gay couples.

The actors who play Cam and Mitch are straight Eric Stonestreet and gay Jesse Tyler Ferguson who appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to use their platform to try and bring about even more positive social change.

Said Stonestreet in a spoof Public Service Announcement: ‘We’re proud to advocate the latest frontier in marriage equality: the union between one straight person … ‘

Finishing his sentence Ferguson said: ‘… to one gay person. Straight-gay marriage.’

Stonestreet explained: ‘Hollywood history is full of healthy and happy gay-straight marriages.’

He doesn’t name any names – but Ferguson does.

Unfortunately, the names are purposely bleeped out.

You’ll have to come up with your own guesses!
