Green Book is directed by Peter Farrelly and costars Viggo Mortensen and Linda Cardellini.

The film also received Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor (For Mortensen) and also Best Film Editing.

It’s final nod is for Best Original Screenplay.

Meanwhile, Mahershala’s director for Moonlight, Barry Jenkins, also has a film up for an Oscar this year.

His latest project, If Beale Street Could Talk, has been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The Favourite leads the charge for the film with an LGBTI plot point with the most nominations, with 10 in total. Stars Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz all received nominations.
