A mother has removed her 12-year-old from health class after she came home with a LGBTI vocabulary quiz.

The assignment asked students to name sexual and gender identity terms based on their definitions.

One definition was ‘a woman who is attracted to women’, so the answer was ‘lesbian’.

‘Why are they teaching that in school?’ Octavia Parks, of Dekalb County, Georgia, said.

‘What does that have to do with life?’

Speaking to WAGA-TV, she said: ‘We’re talking about a sixth-grader who still watches Nickelodeon…

‘I’m not ready to explain what these words are nor what they mean.’

Parks said she decided to remove her daughter out of the health class.

She will also be going to the board of education to ‘see what they have to say about it as well’.

DeKalb County School District said they are working to verify the assignment’s ‘authenticity’.

School district investigating ‘alleged’ assignment

“DCSD has been made aware of this alleged event,’ the district said. ‘We will investigate this event and take action, as appropriate, once that investigation is completed.’

It is unclear whether the homework assignment was part of a district-approved curriculum.

This mother isn’t the only one pulling their kids out of school over LGBTI acceptance.

In the UK, two Christian parents are suing a school for allowing a trans girl to wear a skirt.

Removing their sons from an unnamed Church of England school, they claim the teachers were ‘creating confusion’.
