Nash Grier kisses gay fan in attempt to make up for homophobic slur

If saying sorry isn’t enough, will kissing a gay fan go some way in remedying it?

The presumably gay fan shared the experience on Snapchat and later on Tumblr (hayesgriersluts), writing: ‘To all the people complaining about Nash being a homophobic who’s against gays; He willingly kissed a boy just for a Snapchat story on top of apologizing twice.’

Earlier this week, 16-year-old Nash Grier, who has 8.7 million followers on the six-second video sharing website Vine, told his teenage fans that only ‘fags’ get HIV.

His post was deleted after a few hours, but not before it could be reposted by gay YouTube star Tyler Oakley who tweeted his 2.6 million followers Nash’s original Vine.

It showed Grier screaming ‘Yes it is. Fag!’ in response to a HIV awareness ad that stated ‘Get tested for HIV. It’s not a gay thing.’

In a column for Gay Star News, Scott Flashheart wrote: ‘This latest rant isn’t just stupid; it’s dangerous. By spewing the kind of ignorance that equates HIV with homosexuality, Grier is endangering lives in a very real way.’

Grier has since apologized saying: ‘I have nothing against anyone or anything that promotes equality. Sorry again.’
