Cristiano Ronaldo is being subject to homophobic chants at games

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo was called a ‘faggot’ by Spain international Koke after a football match.

The pair were seen shouting at each other during an altercation that saw both players receive a yellow card.

According to Cadena Cope, it began when Koke called Ronaldo a ‘faggot’.

To which Ronaldo allegedly replied: ‘A faggot with a lot of money, you bastard’.

The radio station then claimed this happened in the changing room following the match.

This is the alleged conversation:

Ronaldo: ‘Koke called me a faggot.’
Team-mate: ‘What?’
Ronaldo: ‘You‘re a faggot, he said to me.’
Team-mate: ‘He said that to you?’
Ronaldo: ‘I told him, “if we meet each other in Madrid, you will see what I will do”.’
Team-mate: ‘What are you going to do to him?’
Ronaldo: ‘Nothing. What can I do?’
Another team-mate who came in later: ‘Who said that?’
Ronaldo: ‘Koke, he called me a faggot. I told him, “a faggot, yes. But a rich one, bastard”.’

The soccer star has been repeatedly made the target of homophobic slurs by fans at matches, an act condemned by the Spanish LGBT Observatory.

It follows reports that Ronaldo is dating Moroccan kickboxer Badh Hari after it was alleged the pair were ‘more than friends’. This was not proven in any way.

These unfounded claims have ignored the series of model girlfriends that Ronaldo has dated and mentioned in several interviews.

When asked if he was gay due to his love of ‘grooming’ himself a few years ago, he said: ‘I’m at ease with my sexuality so it’s not a problem for me’.
