Each interview was filmed in 60-90 minutes and edited down to an hour long documentary.
The film offers personal, first-hand accounts from trans people, culminating into a strong list of diverse trans stories.
Greenfield-Sanders adds The Trans List to his award-winning repertoire, alongside The Out List and The Black List.
When asked about the filming process, Greenfield-Sanders remarks how candidly the interviewees responded to producer Janet Mock: ‘[she] brought a level of comfort’, he told NBC.
‘I am endlessly impressed with her. She’s a spirited, brilliant, thoughtful, thought-provoking person,’ he said.
The film is officially released on 5 December.
