New river cruise for trans travelers to set sail from Germany to Hungary

The newly-launched travel company Transgender Vacations will host a cruise from Passau, Germany to Budapest, Hungary in October, it has been announced.

The seven-night cruise will take place from October 23-31 2016, and serve 176 passengers.

It will stop in Vienna, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia, among others, and feature lectures from trans leaders and public figures, including former boxing promoter Kellie Maloney.

According to Travel Weekly, Miami-based Transgender Vacations will team up with river vessel-owners TransOcean, based in Germany, for the cruise.

The cruise will be operated by British cruise line Cruise & Maritime Voyages.

Prices start at $2,099 (£1,463, €1,856) per person.

Transgender Vacations partners with British travel firm Focus Diva, a division of Focus Travel Group, and was founded by Stephanie Land and Jennifer Grant (the latter the UK director of Focus Diva).
