Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke to launch gay dating app for gentlemen.
The reality TV star who came out as gay earlier this year teamed up with business partner Jack Rogers to create the new gay dating app after being bored with the stigma associated with gay dating. They believe it is time to ‘shake things up’.
The duo created the app to allow gay men to feel respected and confident while trying to ‘find something on their own terms’.
On their website they say Chappy’s mission is ‘to provide gay men with a safe, welcoming and high quality platform for connecting and dating online. Whether you are looking for your Mr. Right or your Mr. Right Now, Chappy is here to find the ideal guy for you.’
Locke and Rogers will launch their app with the help of Bumble. They say they have gotten a lot of support, inspiration and guidance and calls it ‘our sister from another mister’.
‘Bumble have really shaken up the world of dating apps. Giving power back to the ladies has made some real waves and we want these effects to be felt in the gay dating community too. We have created a responsible, progressive and cheeky dating app to bring back a bit of old-fashioned and much needed respect into dating for gay men.’
The app will be launched in 2017.
