One Million Moms attacks H&M for including trans model…but she’s not actually trans

H&M is being protested by One Million Moms

The few dozen people we assume who actually make up One Million Moms are back ranting again, and this time it’s about H&M.

The clothing retailer recently released a groundbreaking ad showing different women from all walks of life. It included a woman with hairy armpits, two girls kissing underwater, and a transgender model.

And they are not happy about any of it.

‘One Million Moms is not sure of H&M clothing company’s thought process behind their new television ad, but if they are attempting to offend customers and families, they have succeeded,’ they said.

‘H&M’s newest “She’s A Lady” commercial includes a woman wearing skimpy lingerie and ends with two teenage girls kissing while underwater. Parents find this type of advertising inappropriate and unnecessary especially since H&M’s target market is teens.’

In a previous version of the statement, they also called out H&M for ‘including what appears to be a man dressed as a woman in one segment’.

The model they refer to is actually world-famous boxer Fatima Pinto, who is a cisgender woman.

And it turns out they missed the actual trans model in the advert, Hari Nef.

A H&M spokesperson said: ‘With this campaign we want to celebrate diversity and encourage women around the world to be who they truly are. We don’t take a religious or political stand, but we want to show H&M is all about inclusiveness and diversity.

‘We want to inspire customers to be true to self and dress their personal style. Everyone is welcome at H&M.’
