Panic! At The Disco have taken on the Westboro Baptist Church after the group targeted one of their gigs.
Last week, the ‘God Hates Fags’ church announced plans to protest the band’s show in Kansas City, Missouri.
As Panic! At The Disco are the church’s latest targets, the zealots recorded a homophobic parody of the band’s 2006 single ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’.
They dubbed their version ‘You Love Sin What A Tragedy’.
Brendon Urie, the frontman for the band, has opened up before about his own fluid sexuality – though he’s now married to wife Sarah Orzechowski.
He says he finds some men ‘extremely attractive’ and stated bisexuality ‘needs to be celebrated’.
When members of the WBC announced plans to protest the show, the band decided to respond in the best way possible.
Today @WBCSays is going to picket us. For every member of WBC that actually shows up we will donate $20 to @HRC #pride2014

They pledged to give $20 to a LGBTI charity, the Human Rights Campaign, for each member of the church who showed up to protest them.
But then, only 13 protestors showed up.
Thinking $260 was too small a donation, the band promised to donate more to the HRC.
Thank you @WBCSays for the update on the total amount you donated to @HRC today. $20X13= weak. We’re going to make it an even $1000.
