Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan to play bickering married couple in new comedy

Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan previously worked together on 2011's Our Idiot Brother.

Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan are to play bickering married couple in new comedy An Ideal Home.

Director Andrew Fleming wrote the script, which is about ‘a troubled married couple with an extravagant life,’ according to the The Hollywood Reporter.

Alan Partridge star Coogan plays a celebrity and Ant Man’s Rudd is his less enthusiastic partner.

The couple reluctantly take in the grandson that Coogan’s character never knew he had when he shows up at their doorstep with nowhere else to go.

Fortitude International is looking for buyers at the Berlin Film Festival, and UTA Independent Film Group is handling domestic rights.

‘Comedy stalwarts Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan are reuniting on the big screen as a squabbling married couple in Andrew Fleming’s endearing and hilarious script about modern family, and we are delighted to present this charming film to buyers at EFM,’ said Fortitude’s Nadine De Barros.
