There’s been speculation around Pink’s sexuality ever since her debut smash There You Go in the year 2000.
Now, Pink has once again addressed the subject in a new interview – and in doing so, cemented her status as a trailblazer for people who don’t label their themselves.
Why? Because she’s been doing it the whole time she’s been in the spotlight!
The pop icon spoke to The Guardian ahead of the release of her new album Beautiful Trauma, with the interviewer discussing how ‘ambiguous sexual orientation is part and parcel of the modern pop star’.
‘I don’t need you to put me in a box’
On this, Pink paid props to the new generation of stars such as Miley Cyrus, saying: ‘I think people like Miley… I feel like people are just less inclined to be labelled now, which I really like.’
She furthermore added: ‘That’s where I was always coming from. Just, leave it alone. I just wanna live my life. I don’t need you to put me in a box or to figure me out or to figure out what I am. Cos I don’t know yet. And I never say never…’
Pink, who has often favored an androgynous style, and once said ‘I should be gay by the way I look,’ and is married to Carey Hart with whom she has two children.
