Plan an amazing trip to Barcelona with LateRooms.com

GSN and LateRooms.com have joined forces for some exciting activity at this summer’s Pride events where the online hotel site is aiming to blow you away with giveaways both large and small.

LateRooms.com made its Pride debut in Birmingham last month and has already caused quite a stir with parade-goers and the LGBT community with its big Barcelona giveaway.

The Golden Ticket competition kicked off in Birmingham with over 750,000 attendees desperate to get their hands on one. There were 10 tickets hidden in GSN’s Ian McKellan-designed goody bags, ready and waiting for the lucky winners to enter themselves into the grand prize draw to win a £1,000 trip to beautiful Barcelona.

But while some of the tickets from the first release in Birmingham have been snapped up, not all have been claimed, with a number of golden ticket holders completely unaware that a luxury hotel stay in Barcelona is so very nearly theirs (cue furious scrambling through that bag in the corner of your bedroom).

LateRooms.com is giving you the chance to create your own spectacular trip to the Spanish hotspot. You’ll decide which hotel you’d like you and your travel buddy of choice to stay in and you’ve got £1,000 to burn so you better get hunting on LateRooms.com!

To give you some inspiration here are some of our favourite hotspots:

Calipolis

Barcelona may be short of an official gay village but the area of Sitges is the perfect place to set up camp for LGBT visitors. About 30 minutes from Barcelona city centre, Sitges boasts an array of gay bars and clubs especially in Eixample near Calle Diputacio and Arago streets along with Calle Balmes and Villaroel. The Calipolis Hotel is set amongst beautiful palm trees, boasting spectacular views over the sea and the promenade of Sitges. Only a few metres away from Bassa Rodona beach and a short distance away from the town centre, you can get in on all the action at Calipolis, Sitges.

The Mirror

With floor-to-ceiling mirrors opposite beds, in bathrooms and across most walls you’re guaranteed a great view from all angles… and all positions, at The Mirror. This hotel is full of vanity flair, and even includes automatic Do Not Disturb signs for when surprise and spontaneity takes over. And if you want to see more than just the hotel on your mini break then you’re in luck; The Mirror is within walking distance to an array of tourist sites such as Plaza Cataluña, Passeig de Gràcia and La Pedrera.

Casa Fuster [pictured above]

This luxurious hotel is in a prime setting in the centre of Barcelona, with easy access of the many popular attractions that this mesmerising city has to offer. Whether it’s shopping, sightseeing or nipping into the nearest club, Casa Fuster is in the centre of it all. As well as a buzzing atmosphere, this hotel is luxurious in style featuring extravagant furnishings and even a rooftop pool.
And if those sensational hotels haven’t tickled your fancy, you can browse on LateRooms.com for hundreds more options for your complimentary stay.

To get in the game, those lucky few ticket holders just need to take a selfie with their golden ticket, posting it to Instagram using #LateRoomsMoment, for a chance to win the luxury trip.

Up next will be London Pride where another ten precious tickets will be hidden inside the GSN bags, just waiting to be found and snapped.  And if you’re heading to Brighton or Manchester instead, don’t worry – your time will come. A further ten of the coveted tickets will be hidden in bags at each event.  So keep those eyes peeled, you could be sitting back sipping a sangria on La Ramblas in no time.

Pride, being one of the biggest events in the LGBT community, is full of moments that you’ll remember for a lifetime; laughs with friends, a newly found love interest and decisions you’re cringing at now but will giggle about later. If you don’t mange to nab a Golden Ticket, you can still capture and hashtag these moments and star in the LateRooms.com photo competition gallery – you might even win Moment of the Week!
