Martin first performed at the Grammys 20 years ago. Since then, he has scooped two awards and seven nominations.
The star is father two twins Matteo and Valentino. Last year, Martin, 47, and his artist husband Jwan Yosef, announced the birth of their daughter.
‘We are beyond happy to announce that we have become parents to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef’ Martin wrote on Instagram.
Lady Gaga, Janelle Monae, Brandi Carlile and Cardi B lead the LGBTI talent among this year’s Grammy Award nominations.
Gaga gets a nod in the Record of the Year category. It is for her track Shallow with Bradley Cooper, from the A Star is Born soundtrack. She gets a nod for the same track on the Song of the Year category.
Record of the Year is more aimed at performers, singers and producers of individual tracks. Song of the Year, meanwhile, is for songwriters.
