Rita Ora discusses her sexuality as she drops bisexuality anthem with Cardi B, Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha

Rita Ora, Cardi B, Lisa Scott-Lee (actually Charli XCX) and Bebe Rexha

Rita Ora has teamed up with Cardi B, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha for a new song Girls – and it’s destined to become an anthem about sexuality.

The pop star dropped the song, featuring the lyric: ‘I’m 50/50 and I’m never gonna hide it’ yesterday.

(Although our favourite line is of course from Cardi, touching on self-love. ‘I’m too sexy, I seduce myself’ she raps. Already iconic.)

The song, which features all the singers talking about female love/sex interests, immediately jumped to the top three of iTubes charts around the world.

‘I’m not hiding what I am, who I am’

Asked by People about her own sexuality in response to the song, Rita said: ‘I knew people were going to look into it like that. I definitely said it because I can — and it was one of those things where, if I was 50/50, I’m not saying I’m “70/30.”… “I’m 50/50, and I’m not gonna hide it.’ I’m not hiding what I am, who I am, if I wanna do this, if I wanna do that. That’s just how it’s gonna be.’

The Lonely Together singer furthermore added: ‘For me and my career, this is definitely the most open-booked I’ve ever been, if that’s a word.

‘I’m definitely an open book with this record, and I’m really proud of the support I’ve got with my fellow collaborators.’
