Iconic Australian artist Ross Watson is releasing a retrospective hardcover book to coincide with his hotly-anticipated WorldPride NYC exhibition – and we’re sharing a look at some of the artworks inside.
Called Untitled II, the release looks back at some of Watson’s most powerfully erotic pieces of the last decade.
As well as well-known paintings, it’ll contain never-before-seen works. Ross Watson Gallery Director Stephen Morgan contributes the foreword, offering an added insight into Watson’s work.
‘There is no particular look’
Discussing his artistic process in an interview with GSN last year, Ross said: ‘I value getting to know the person a bit before they model, as years back there were one or two who had an unattractive attitude when we met.
He furthermore added: ‘There is no particular look. I have painted various looks and nationalities.’
Untitled II is available for pre-order now for delivery in June, with first editions signed by the artist.
Watson’s WorldPride NYC exhibit runs at Rogue Space in Chelsea from 17-30 June 2019.
