British TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has opened up about being a stepdad in a new interview.
The openly gay This Morning star, 29, discussed his relationship with 18-year-old Cameron in an interview with Metro.
He said he took to the parental role ‘like a breeze’, adding: ‘He has his mum as well but I love Cameron like he’s my own.
‘He’s great and nearly 18. It’s just normal for him and me. ‘
Rylan furthermore added: ‘I’ve been lucky because it could have been tricky but he’s growing up to be a lovely young man. He’s lucky to have me as well!’
Rylan married ex-policeman Dan in 2015.
‘If I did have a baby, I’d be the sort to want a year off just to be a dad.’
On the subject of fathering kids of his own, Rylan previously told The Sun: ‘Since day one I’ve always wanted kids. I love babies. It is definitely something that we will talk about and discuss if, how, when and why.’
‘It’s doable. It’s always on the table, it’s just when the time is right.’
He furthermore added: ‘If I did have a baby, I’d be the sort to want a year off just to be a dad.’
Rylan became on overnight star after his first audition on the 2011 series of X Factor, before eventually making it to the live shows.
Dan Clark-Neal rose to fame as a contestant on Channel 5 show Big Brother. Rylan is a presenter on many of Big Brother’s spin-off shows.
