Rylan Clark-Neal has accidentally hinted he will be the face of the new Supermarket Sweep reboot.
The job was previously taken by the late Dale Winton, who passed away in April of natural causes at the age of 62.
Speculation reached fever pitch when the TV star shared a photo on Twitter which showed a document with the words ‘Supermarket Sweep’ in front of him.
The document reportedly read: ‘It’s time to go wild in the aisles once more as the classic Supermarket Sweep returns bigger, funnier, and wilder than ever before!’
Like Rylan today, Dale was one of the most famous gay men in British TV during the 90s and 00s.
‘Eviction night lols’
Rylan, who was posing with friends in the photo, captioned the image: ‘Eviction night lols with @PAJ85 @KatLSwain #bbuk. (sic)’ The picture was later deleted.
He is also remembered for presenting shows such as The National Lottery and Hole In the Wall.
Meanwhile Rylan shot to fame on the 2011 series of the X Factor, where he made the live finals. He went on to win Celebrity Big Brother in 2013. He furthermore presented its spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit On the Side.
