Northern Pride has just announced Finnish singer Saara Aalto will join the lineup for their music festival this summer.

The X Factor finalist will delight fans in Newcastle, UK, with her hits, including her popular rendition of Let It Go off the soundtrack of Disney’s Frozen.

The openly lesbian singer voiced Princess Anna in the Finnish version of the 2013 animated movie.

Northern Pride is back

The Northern Pride Festival returns to Newcastle’s Town Moor and Exhibition Park from 19 to 21 July.

Aalto will take to the Manchester Airport Los Angeles Stage on Saturday 20 July, while X Factor’s Fleur East will be headlining on the day.

Ste Dunn, chair of Northern Pride, believes the Dancing On Ice star will be an invaluable addition to the event.

‘We are delighted to have Saara Aalto joining a fantastic line-up on Saturday and I’m sure she will put on an amazing show,’ said Dunn.

‘We have some incredible performers taking to the stage over the weekend and this year’s festival is looking to be one of our best yet.’

Who else is playing?

On Sunday, Liberty X will perform. The festival will include performances from Janice Robinson, Jaymi Hensley, and Marcella Woods. Katherine Ellis, Baby D, Michael Rice and Sonia are also taking to the stage.

The festival is free to attend. However, Platinum Passes are available to purchase for those looking to secure a prime viewing position close to the stage, along with access to a dedicated bar area and toilets.
