Sam Smith opens up about ‘very, very dark’ weight battle

Sam Smith has discussed his relationship with his body and weight, admitting: ‘I struggle with it every day.’

In a preview of a video interview with actress Jameela Jamil, he explains: ’Two days ago I had a full day where I was like “I just have to sit alone I think.” I’m getting so sad.’

‘I’ve been able to get out of those holes a bit quicker’

He furthermore continued: ‘I get very, very dark. Very sad. Recently I’ve been able to get out of those holes a bit quicker because of things like I Weigh.’

Sam is of course known for hits such as Stay With Me and Too Good At Goodbyes.

Last month, Sam shared an epic body positivity social media post in which he posed topless.

Speaking about his body battle, he added the caption: ‘Yesterday I decided to fight the fuck back.

‘Reclaim my body and stop trying to change this chest and these hips and these curves that my mum and dad made and love so unconditionally.’
