Glass follows two Shyamalan’s successful movies: 2000’s Unbreakable and 2016’s Split. Both films are set in alternate universes where people can develop superhuman abilities.

Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson reprise their roles of David Dunn and Elijah Price, also known by his pseudonym of Mr. Glass, respectively. Moreover, James McAvoy will be back as Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man with dissociative identity disorder first seen in Split.

The official synopsis for Glass sounds scary and leaves us with a lot of questions.

Glass finds David Dunn pursuing Kevin Wendell Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Elijah Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Anya Taylor-Joy also returns as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

What role does Paulson play?

Paulson will have to deal with the three of them as Dr. Ellie Staple, a psychiatrist specializing in treating with patients with megalomania.

Dunn and Wendell Crumb are admitted into the hospital where Dr. Glass has been for the past years and this is a recipe for disaster.

In the trailer, Dr. Staple talks to the disturbing trio in a futuristic psychiatric hospital, nothing like AHS: Asylum’s Briarcliff Manor.

Shyamalan focuses on alienating pastel hues and visionary setting, tiptoeing into a dystopian future.

Dr. Staple believes she has found a treatment for her patients with delusions of grandeur. She appears to treat Wendell Crumb with an experimental therapy, where several flashes trigger new personalities.

While she is trying to cure them, the three of them are plotting to escape.
