Ruth Davidson, the leader of the Scottish Conservative party, has announced her engagement with her long-term girlfriend.
Davidson is one of the only LGBTI people to ever lead a right-wing political party in the world.
She said on Twitter that she had been away for a few days because she had a very important question to ask her partner Jen Wilson.
So, I’ve been away for a few days as I had an important question to ask. Delighted Jen said yes. Very happy. X pic.twitter.com/IND22nVRa5
