Secret deodorant nails trans bathroom debate

Secret, a deodorant company, has aired an incredible advert showing what it is like to be a trans woman in a public bathroom.

Nailing the incredibly stupid ‘bathroom debate’ in North Carolina, it shows how stressful it can be to fear an outraged reaction when you just need to go and pee.

Starring Karis Wilde, Dana is a trans woman debating her exit from a busy bathroom.

She’s feeling nervous, fear and a lot of stress.

Taking a deep breath, Dana braves it and leaves the cubicle. The text reads: ‘Stress test #8260 – Dana finds the courage to show there’s no wrong way to be a woman’.

‘I always have moments of insecurity but I have conditioned myself to act unbothered,’ Wilde told Queerty.

‘While shooting, I allowed myself to feel vulnerable. It terrified me how much I’ve stored all those emotions; I almost cried in the middle of taping.’
