See Jane Lynch and Jordan Peele perform cheesy ballad advocating break-up of Church and State

Anyone who saw the Madonna episode of Glee a few seasons back knows that Jane Lynch (aka Sye Sylvester) can sing.

Her version of Madonna’s Vogue is a classic (see second video below).

But Lynch, paired with Jordan Peele, goes in an entirely different musical direction in this big ballad parody that looks like one of those cheesy duets from a 1970s television  variety show.

But it’s a cheesy song with a message: Separation of Church and state.

Lynch, currently on Broadway as Miss Hannigan in Annie, represents Church in this performance while Peele is State.

The music video was done with Funny Or Die and Americans United and goes in all kinds of unexpected directions.
